In the Food Fare tent you will find a wealth of
produce from companies that are making the very finest of foods. Here
you can find anything from wonderful oils and dips to preserves,
pies and cheeses. And once you have sampled the goodies,
there’s plenty of beverages to choose from both alcoholic
and non alcoholic. And don’t forget the Festival
of Food on Avenue F for the gourmets amongst you.
Come and join in the fun and have a ride around
the Show’s ‘Off
Road’ area. You will be driven by an experienced
4 x 4 driver who will take you up the steepest of inclines and
down the deepest of ditches. You’ll find out exactly
what these amazing vehicles are capable of whilst having a lot
of fun.
Here you will find a traditional horticultural
competition for flowers, shrubs, fruit and vegetables. Come
and see the best of our local growers and find out who got the
prizes. Plus
there are a number of growers and nurseries with stands here,
given you the chance to purchase some of the more unusual types
of plants.
New this year, bring your extraordinary
vegetables along to the Horituculture tent before midday
on Saturday and enter into the New Covent Garden Company's
special competition. Anything lumpy, bumpy or a little
bit unusual will qualify!
Visit the Harvest Centre and find out what happens
in the course of the agricultural year. A wonderful learning
centre for children to explore all aspects of farming.
The
Crafts marquee has over 80 exhibitors selling every type
of craft you can imagine, from knitwear and jewellery to

There’s
plenty to keep the children amused at The Royal County
of Berkshire Show. Once they have visited the traditional
fun fair , gone on the rides and captured a duck, why
not take them to see the snakes and spiders in the Country
Area, where they can even have a go at handling them. Then
on to the Harvest Centre where they can learn all about
the farming year. A quick bite to eat at one of
the numerous catering areas and then on to the Army Zone
where they can find out all about what it takes to be
in the army today.
